Sam Worthington

Sam Worthington * Sam Worthington as Perseus
Sam Worthington was born on August 2, 1976 in Perth, Australia. After high school, Sam went "walkabout" as they say in Australia. Worthington searched for his place, even working as a bricklayer. On a whim, Worthington auditioned at an Australian drama school and got in. Sam Worthington thus established his background in theatrical acting and television. Sam Worthington starred in numerous Australian movies such as "Dirty Deeds" in 2002 and "Somersault" in 2004.
Sam acheived international fame when he was cast in James Cameron's futuristic 3D epic "Avatar" then in James Cameron's "Terminator Salvation", where many said he outshined co-star Christian Bale.
Worthington replaced Tom Cruise in the lead role for the movie "The Tourist". Sam was also one of three finalists to play James Bond before losing out to Daniel Craig.
Keira Knightley, whom Sam worked with on "Last Night", said about Sam Worthington, "he's a shouter," meaning he would rather argue about a scene rather than do it in a way he doesn't agree with.
Sam Worthington has also landed the lead role of Perseus in the remake of Clash of the Titans.
