Mac vs. PC Commercials
I love these commercials. The idea behind the Mac vs.
PC commercials, the “Get a Mac” advertising campaign started in 2006, is to
make PC look old and cranky and to make Mac look young, confident, and
cool. John Hodgman plays PC, while Justin Long plays Mac. You may remember Justin Long from the
Jeepers Creepers horror movie. These famous commercials have inspired spoofs, including one from Novell where Linux
was portrayed by a thin woman.

Macbook Air is coming soon. The thinnest ultra-light
laptop on the market. The 13.3
inch screen looks crisp, sharp, and vibrant; and a built-in camera. The only exposed ports on the Macbook Air are a micro-DVI, a USP port, and a headphones

EchoStar vs. TiVo: On January
31, 2008, a U.S. patent court ruled that EchoStar Communications Corp.
infringed on a TiVo patent by building digitial video recorders and must pay almost $74 million in
damages.
